Stoner rejects distraction suggestions
Australia’s Casey Stoner says he has not eased off in his MotoGP campaign after signing a deal to move from Ducati to Honda next year. ‘I’m still working for Ducati and I’m still riding my butt off and I will continue to do the best job I can for them,’ said Australian Stoner ahead of this weekend’s round in Misano, Italy. ‘I’ve got a new challenge next year but that’s in the future and Ducati have done a fanatic job for many years now. ‘I’m still giving them 100 per cent and that’s all I can ask of myself and that’s all they can ask of me.’ Stoner has had a dismal campaign this season and has not won a race but he says he is simply being outpaced by other machinery. ‘Personally I think I’m riding as good as I’ve ridden.
